I just bought this from monoprice, so I can get rid of multiroom....

Works perfectly, including the IR . I have a fairly long cable run and is also routed via a patch panel.

Honestly I didn't think it would work.

I also bought an HDMI splitter but that did not work so well.For some reason it is not passing the HDCP signal. So, I use component as the local cable, and the hdmi for the extended signal.

This should payback (for not needing multi room) after about a year.

Out of the mysky box.

I got the splitter working too -- switching everything off then back on fixed my issues.

Component wasn't so great as sky do not output HD through component.

Hmmm interesting. We are about to build a house and are looking for ways to pipe the MySky around the house. Can this type of solution be used to display the MySky output simultaneously on more than one TV?

If not, any suggestions for the best way to achieve that? Ideally I'd like to house the MySky unit in a comms cupboard underneath a patch panel and somehow route it to several TVs but not sure whether it would only 'handshake' and send the signal to only one end TV at a time.
