I'm looking for a few testers (3 or 4) for EPG Collector V4 to test the new feature that adds meta data to the program guide from internet databases.

You need to collect either NZ Freeview or Sky data and use the direct import into WMC.

The new feature can add a lot of data that is visible in WMC for movies and TV series such as posters, cast, crew and star rating.

It works especially well on NZ Freeview where there is so little information broadcast in the first place.

PM me if you are interested

Oh is this only for WMC, not for populating an xmltv file? If the latter I'd be keen.

I'll be putting in the code for adding meta data to the xmltv output in the next day or so.

What do you feed the xmltv file into? Will the additional data be visible?

I feed it into nextpvr.  Depends what you're adding I guess.  I was guessing you were adding things like subtitles, episode identifiers? Genres type stuff.

Does nextpvr have native support for this already in the EPG?

Poster images, cast and crew, star rating.

I don't currently do genre but it's available. I'll add it in.

Episode identifiers would need to be in the broadcast data which they aren't for NZ Freeview.

I'll jump in too if more testers are still needed.
