Notwithstanding the addition of the micro connector, is there any other difference in the physical interface between HDMI versions 1.3 and 1.4.

 Some cables state 1.3 compliance, others claim 1.4.  Is there really any difference?

Cables - Maybe
Specs - Yes

Hi, Connectors - no, Cables - no well not since Ver1.1, Specs - Yes, Services that the end devices are capable of running over HDMI cables/connections - yes.
