Hi there,

Can anyone tell me if an Atom D2700 2.1Ghz is going to be powerful enough to record and playback Freeview using a USB DVB-T stick ?

I'm thinking of adding the DVB-T stick to my HTPC but I'm unsure if it has enough CPU grunt to do it and also run XBMC.

Thanks

Mark

Depends entirely what the GFX hardware is. The CPU by itself won't be, but you should be using hardware acceleration if you want the best performance no matter what CPU you use.

Ahh, well it is paired up with an Nvidia GT520M, so I guess so long as I don't try to do any transcoding I should be good ?

I used to run Freeview on a passively cooled GT440 and it's probably pretty similar to the GT520M so I would think it'll be fine. It was able to cope with HD videos too which was nice.
