Great idea. Needs a digital audio output IMO. I suppose you could plug it directly into a receiver.

I see it uses WiFi to connect to the net but is the WiFi unit built in to the unit??

I get a couple of Chinese spam every day from electronics companies, and last week got at least two about Android-based TV media devices. Move along...

I didn't say it was a scam. I just think some kickstarter projects are not that original.
