Hi Fellas,
I have been using EPGCollector and Guidehound epg on 7MC for ages and they've been working great.  Trouble is now that TVNZ7 has gone, and I rescanned my channels to get tv1+1 going, several channels have swapped to the wrong number.  Eg I get ChineseTV on Prime

Anyone know how to fix this?

Not that I care about tv1+1 - I mean seriously, what idiot thought that up?

After rescanning the channels, checked the guide lineup?

I can get TV1+1, and I set it up in 7MC to use the TV1+1 EPG importer guide listings
I also tried using the EPGCollector to grab the xml, checked its channel IDs etc
re imported that xml into GuideHound (populate channels) and they seem to match up?

I know that Tivo haven't updated the EPG yet to display the tv1+1 EPG, or maybe TVNZ hasn't provided it to them

Um, thanks for that Matt, but I'm not sure how that's relevant...?

Becuase if the EPG for tvnz 1+1 isn't being given to providers, it could be stuffing things up when rescanning, and it isn't only affecting you. The solution is probably for tvnz to provide the EPG. I have also noticed that there appears to be two channels now that tv1 +1 is being broadcast on tv7 and channel 350

I have the EPG on my Windows 7 Media Centre, from DVB-T, using EPG Collector.

I think part of your problem is that you have specified the channels in EPG collector. I have always left that blank as otherwise it will not pickup changes correctly. I would clear out that tab and then re-run the collector.
The other trick that I just found out is to make sure you tick the option to "Create data for channels with the same name if data nor present" which resolved a series link issue I as having. This is needed thanks to the regional EPG's.

I tried that, then when I populate the channels in Guidehound it assigns the channels all wrong

Can't you just use EPG Collector to load the Media Center guide directly?

You will need to use EPG Collector v3.2 for both Nety and freitasm's suggestions.

Note EPG Collector 4.0 was announced/released. I have been running it for a while and recommend it!

Solved it by rerunning the 7mc setup, setting the epg collector to run without scanning channels and leaving guidehound as it populated the channels.
Turns out I thought I was better than I was ;)
