Hey guys I have a flat screen tv, Panasonic Vera its about 2 years old, it has a 4 HMDI slots and a big card slot for a camera card but a big one??? Can I get an adapter to plug my hard drive into it?????

I have a blue ray player that has a USB slot but won't work like that

What does this mean?

Is it for an SD/SDHC card or something larger like CompactFlash (not so common these days)?

I'd just get some SD cards (assuming that is what it is) and transfer my files onto those. There are a lot of laptops that have a build in SD card slot - otherwise just get card reader/SD interface to transfer files. You can get them to plug into USB if you want.

No.
I think you will find it only takes SD cards and probably of limited size. I think my old Panasonic only handled 1gb max.

Nope - it won't work.
My suggestion is to buy a 'media box' like a Western Digital (or similar) and plug your USB HDD into that.
It will play almost all the file formats you throw at it too.

Hi thanks, prob better to just use the USB on the dvd player then, my tvin my room had a TIVO i use to transfer AVI's to that but since i changed to telstra its not unmetered so dont do that anymore

Will look at a media box for in there

The tv i got i win 2 yrs ago was 4 grand, 50 inch full hd gold plasma, aint buyin another one until it dies lol... I will just stick with plugging in the USB to the blue ray player then I suppose
.. Cant keep up with stuff these days lol

Costs about $95, plugs into the HDMI on the TV (or component/composite on an older TV), and you can plug 1 or 2 USB drives into it. Pretty much meets the definition of a USB-drive "adapter" that you were asking for recommendations on. Plus it's networkable out of the box.
