Not quite sure what you mean by full screen epg but if you mean a mysky like epg with a matrix of many channels down the left and a time line with program details on the right, then yes had it for years. I use VIX.

Thanks,  the multi EPG I have with Pli has up to 10 down the Lh side and currently has 180 mins across. just thought there maybe one that was full screen that was all. Am waiting on some files from Grant K. for some  settings and will see what that may do,

VIX is customisable on number of rows and number of minutes amoungst other things. It is a better image IMHO than PLI. In fact I just tried it, turned off picture in graphics and increased number of rows to 16 which appears to be the max.

Flash it and try it.

In VIX you can specify where backups go to so yes you can backup to usb. It is years since I used PLI so can't help you there.

But if your duo isn't networked you are going to have problems installing oscam and cccam in VIX. Not saying you can't do it but it will be a pain.

PLI has the same function, but I had trouble getting the USB stick "mounted".  Unless you do that, you can't save files to it.

+1

In the end, I ran a network cable across the floor to my router, and made backups of the CAM files that way.  Then used DB Edit to save my channel bouquets, settings etc.

After a while I realised how useful it would be to have a permanent network connection, so I climbed under the floor and installed some CAT6 with skirting board mounted RJ45 sockets at each end.  A nice tidy and permanent solution, without needing to cut holes in the wall; I just drilled a 5mm hole in the floor by each skirting board.

Any time I have a recording I want to keep, it's dead easy to copy it to my PC using a Windows network share.

Haven't seen your USB stick yet Mavarick, but probably will tomorrow afternoon.

Hi Guys,

Well I did the ViX 3.0 and it is mostly more user friendly, but now have an issue as I can't mount my 500GB external usb Hard drive. it used to work no problems before It sees it in the mount manager  with Size unavailable and mount of none, I do the blue mount button but it always says mount failed. a smaller USB works, did I miss something

thanks in advance

I'm using an Internal Hard Drive, so I can't shed any light on what the problem might be.  Maybe your external drive has the wrong format?

I would suggest trying the World of Satellite forum where all the VIX gurus hang out.  I've had some good help from there previously.
