Ive just found out that the speakers have arrived and they are the diamond 9 series, not the 10's like I wanted.

They said the 10's will arrve at the end of the month and im not sure if I can wait that long.

After doing a bit of searching there doesnt seem to be that much difference. Saying that the 9s are a really old speaker.

In your opinion, if I can get some more money off of the 9's should I get them?

Or should I just wait for the 10s (and still ask for some money off!).

Thanks

Did you order the 9's or 10's? ie did they stuff up or did you. A month doesn't seem long to wait given how long speakers last.

I think the problem was that the item on the website, and on their software did not specify wether it was 9's or 10's.

I did at the time say to him that it has to be the 10's.

I have just found out that the 9's were released in 2003 and the 10's 2009, so I might wait for the 10's.

Not happy though. I guess it gives me a bit more time to get speaker & subwoofer cable.

What versions did you get? If they are 9.6s I'd be keeping them personally.

I have had the 9.5s and the 9.6s ... the 9.5s were better for music and the 9.6 better for movies

I can't say anything about 10s but they probably won't be much better being a high end budget range

I'm not sure what version of the 9's it was. The speakers were out the back in the store room. I was in too much shock / disbelief to find out any more.

From what Ive read the 10's look nicer (maybe slimmer). I havent heard anyone complain about either

If its the same money (I will be looking for a discount either way), then I think I will hold out for the 10s.

Just quite frustrating dealing with another issue.

Maybe I'll go back and check they have the right receiver!!!

welcome to online buying! lol

I am confident sound wise you are not losing out. plant your debate on other factors esp aesthetics and $$ :)

I would keep my 9s any day for the prices I paid for them .... but secretly I'm after something that costs more than my car

From what Ive read Im sure I cant go wrong with the 9's. But if I end up paying the same money, then I would like the newest model (whether its speakers or anything else).

I know I shouldnt be making too much of a fuss as they are budget. But its still quite a bit of money to me, and they are close to costing the same as my car! lol.

I did read somewhere that there are speakers $80,000.00. But then the same person probably owns a lambo.

Agree too Jeffnz.

Still not entirely sure if there has been a mistake with your order, or you ordered the wrong item etc.
As Timmmay says, if they have supplied the wrong items then get them to sort it?

Sorry about that. I had a quick look but can't see how to edit the title.

I saw the diamond speaker pack online, but went in the store and asked him if it was the 10s. He said yes even tho the website and product listed didn't say it was.

Do not settle for the 9's.
You bought the 10's, they should supply the 10's.
Where did you get them from / how much?

^ what he said.

what exact model are these ?

if you can set them up properly (decent amplifier, plenty of space around them), 9.6s are great for music and movies.

imho the older 9 series look much classier than the blingy 10's with their shiney trim pieces.

but you should have gotten what you ordered.
