Hi

I have two panasonic devices in my home theatre setup:

DMP-BD65 blu-ray player
DMR-XW380 Freeview DVD recorder which I recently bought second hand

I have set the blu-ray player to be on "remote code 1", and the DVD recorder on "remote code 2".

I have managed to program my Logitech Harmony remote to correctly control each device independently.

However I am annoyed by the fact that each device will complain (even when in standby) that it is receiving a panasonic remote signal of a different code value. So whenever I send a signal to the DVD recorder, the LCD on the blu-ray player will light up with "set 1" to remind me that I should set my remote to 1. Similarly the same occurs in the opposite situation.

It's a silly idea and an annoyance in a dark room when a bright blue LED pops up.

I haven't managed to disable this message in either device settings.

Does anyone know how to disable them?

Sorry I don't have the answer...
But I'd ring Panasonic's head office and ask to speak to their tech guys...
Or, better yet, ask for their e-mail address so you can ask them the question.

I have the same problem. Annoying but I've learnt to live with it.
Fortunately my displays are not overly bright.
I don't think it can be disabled except by turning off at the wall.

As far as I know it cant be disabled.

Get some tinted duracell (school book cover stuff) and put over the front display to dim it.
