Hi,

I'm having some trouble with series link not linking on many occasions using WMC7 and EPG Collector 4.

I series link a program say last week, and the EPG in WMC7 shows the triple recording icon indicating that series link is active, but the next week I see the program again without the series link icons. So thinking that I haven't created a link, I do it again, to later discover that I had created a link and now I have 2 series links for the same program under my scheduled recordings settings.

Any suggestions why this might be are greatly appreciated, as its quite frustrating when you get the first part of the Top Gear Africa special but then you miss the second because the link is not supposedly setup properly, even thou there is 2 or 3 different Top Gear links in the scheduled recordings. (It also happens when recording the new Family Guy or Simpsons on channel 3)

Links are images of programs which I have created multiple links but still sometimes don't record.

Thanks

There was a breaking change in v4.1 that affected series linking.

Prior to 4.1 programmes were combined into series on a per channel basis so a series recording could not be set up for programmes that were broadcast on different channels.

This conflicted with repeat checking that worked across all channels so it was possible for a programme to be marked as a repeat even though it wasn't a repeat as far as the series was concerned.

The change necessitated naming the series that were created by EPG Collector differently so once you had run 4.1 the first time, your existing series recordings would not have the programmes linked to them anymore.

You will need to cancel all your existing series recordings and set them up again. Once you set them up again it should be OK.

Additionally, the option to flag all programmes as part of a series has been removed as all programmes are automatically grouped into series based on the programme title.
