How do you make the green button put the PC into sleep mode (and wake it)?

All it is doing at the moment is opening and closing WMC.

I've Googled thoroughly but no one seems to have the same issue

(Win7, HVR-2210)

I don't think you can without additional software. A program called IRSS from www.team-mediaportal.com has the ability to intercept remote calls and do things such as sleep, shutdown, run other programs etc. Potentially worth investigating.
