I bought an EasyCap vodeo capture card off TMe.  It was cheap. The install disk is blank. It's a fake with SMI video chip. A Net search reveals that lots of these are fakes. There are alternate driver sets about - mainly on the horrible download sites that make you plough through ads and install new toolbars and stuff :$%#^@#*&@. I haven't managed to find one that works. The thing was about $20 and has wasted far too much of my time. I'm happy to bin it because the seller has a long TMe record and delivery was pretty good.  I don't think he set out to scam me.

I just want to lift a few programs off my MySky.  Not HD - nothing precious or likely to be encrypted.

Who knows where I can buy a "real" one that "works"?

Avoid the easycap's - even the real ones are low quality capture with noisy audio and no dotcrawl reduction in hardware if you are using the composite in (which you shouldnt if you are capturing from sky)

A friend got one off ebay that does component and also 480P capture, works great and was about $40 US. Uses it to stream stupid console gaming.
