A slightly damp patch on a microfiber cloth should be the only thing you use with any panel that has an anti-reflective coating.
Wipe with the damp part, then with the dry part. Repeat as many times as necessary. You have a bit more flexibility with non AR models, but still, chemicals are best avoided.
What model is it?

Yeah, you best avoid any chemicals then. If you damage the AR coating, it will be a lot worse than any smudge.
I'm fairly sure the ST30 comes with a blue microfiber cloth (but my memory is hazy).
