Hey guys,

My 3yr old rx-v1300 receiver tonight turned itself off for no reason and wont start again.

Checked the speaker wires to make sure that nothing was shorting, changed power point just in case, moved the speaker impedance switch back and forward, even opened up the power plug to check the wiring. No external fuse to check. Wife said nothing was going on when it turned off, nothing else spiked, surge protector didnt register anything. It just kinda stopped.

Anything obvious that I havent thought of?

Steve

I had a Harman-Kardon receiver which died in a similar way.  Switched it off and it never turned on again...

There's a lot to be said for a simple old-fashioned On-Off switch Frown
