Does anybody run this remote here in NZ ?? I am looking to purchase one but see that it is not sold here. Does anybody know the reason why we can not purchase it here ? Is the RF signal running on the same as something else ni NZ maybe ??

I would love so feedback

Ok, thanks for all the replies. You have all been so helpful LoL.
From what I can find out so far, the Harmony 890 uses Zwave RF and runs on 908mhz. It seems in NZ that frequency is owned by Vodafone.
Does anything think that could bea problem and that maybe the device will not work here?

There has to be a "Geek" out there that knows something  ;)

Maybe the answer is simpler - nobody has decided to import them here yet - perhaps because they might be too expensive.  If you really want one how about ebay?

For example this guy is selling one new and will ship internationally

As over US$200 this is a small market I would imagine.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Even stuff in the allowed part of 900MHz gets trashed by loads of interference so I would say that something trying to coexist with the actual frequancies in use would have a hard time.

Also be careful if you think about getting one from EU - as they dont use the 850MHz cell freqs over there, they have an open band in there that stuff like this uses (recalls my cordless headphones that would listen to analog cellphone calls in NZ)
