Sorry if this isn't the right section.

Ive been looking for some banana plugs recently (as Ive had enough of the frustrating close together binding posts).

After a lot of searching the cheapest I found was Rapallo.

I just bought 10 closed screw banana plugs for $32.95 delivered. Not too bad I thought.

Slightly cheaper than the $6 each Harvey Norman were selling them for.

Thought I'd post in case someone else was looking for some.

The Rapallo stuff is fairly priced.

Yeah I had a look at all of the main sellers, but struggled to find the same ones for cheaper.

I know Rapallo import the same stuff as monoprice in America. I love that site, have loads of stuff much cheaper. But Delivery was $40 (USD) so wasn't an option.

I've used those before and they drove me nuts... but if you're not plugging in / unplugging them all the time, they'll be fine. ProAV ones seem to be in most stores around town, ranging from $5 at HN's, through to $20 a piece at a certain hifi store I won't name...
Spades are my pick for the speaker end, plugs for the amp.

I've been using Nakamichi branded plugs for a couple of years, and I've been happy with them.

Edit: Someone was selling them on Trademe at a reasonable price, not sure if they are still doing that now.

The Nakamichi plugs are OK.

A bit fragile but they do the job.

FYI - this is not the same Nakamichi company that made awesome cassette decks and other fine pieces of hi-fi, it's merely a Chinese company that bought the Nakamichi name.

My favourite banana plugs remain the long extinct Monster X-Terminators.

The only current plugs that come close are the WBT Nexgens.

Eichmanns go in my hate pile.

I dont really like plugs that have that much exposed metal on the outside of them. Just takes a coax plug or some other earthed piece of metal dropping down the back of the amp shorting things out to make them seem like a silly idea.

They have pretty competitive pricing getting stuff from the USA to NZ.

You never know the size of box a company will send you something in..

I've worked it out for the last 4 boxes I have got stuff from overseas and youshop would have been more expensive than paying for courier charges via USPC/FedEX etc

That is very true - you just don't know.

I just had a quote to ship from US to NZ via USPS for $55 USD for an online order, but the parcel is only going to cost $26 NZD from youshop. Win some, lose some, I guess!

What *is* a pain are the inefficiently packed and therefore exorbitantly-sized boxes that companies seem to insist on packing stuff in. Too much bloat=stupidly expensive shipping costs regardless of carrier option.

I ended up getting the Shark banana plugs from Surplustronics when I was in the same position. They have done a decent enough job. I would probably have bought the ones mentioned if they'd been around and been that price when I neede them.
