I have bought an AppleTV to stream from my Laptop to TV ready for when Colliseum Sports starts but the HDMI outlet on the TV is already connected to the TBox.
Do I have to unplug one to use the other or is there an option to have both connected at the same time?

If your TV is on older one that only has 1 HDMI port you would need to buy a HDMI switcher to give you multiple HDMI inputs.

Ok great, thanks. Just checked prices for HDMI switcher and looks like I'm up for at least another $130 :(

RapalloAV have two port switchers from $30, you shouldn't need to spend $130.

With the $30 pigtail switcher would picture or sound quality be lost?
I thought from the info I've copied below from another site that I needed something a bit more high-tech but maybe that's only if I'm trying to hook up a complete home entertainment system which I'm not.

* HDCP transparency--The switch must be capable of passing HDCP data from source to display.
