i have a 46" LED LCD samsung running off a 9600GT via HDMI  and windows seven. when i set the resolution to 1920x1080 i get horrendous overscan, so ive had to set it back to 1768x992 to get it in picture. the samsungs overscan settings appear to only be available when using the vga pc input and not hdmi

also i cannot get an acceptable text font at these resolutions as the look "thin" and look like the letters need to be fatter. ive tried the cleartype text (Useless) and for the time being ive had to just up the font sizes to be barely acceptable.

anyone got a font package recomendation that beefs up the fonts a bit suitable for large tvs and viewing accross the room?

i dont want to drop the resolution even further just to improve the fonts readabiliity...
at least in xbmc i can up the resolution and adjust the overscan. but the desktop is driving me mad.

any help on the overscanning and fonts????

The nvidia software should allow you to adjust the overscan as well just like in XBMC.
