Hi, I was doing some googling but thought a GZ genius might provide a better and firmer answer... I've become a big Spotify fiend in recent months, on both my PC and my laptop. However, I'd love to have a similar-type service available through my PS3 which outputs sound directly through my Home Theatre system in my lounge.

I have dabbled with PS3 Media Server and did get it going (eventually), however what I would prefer is something simpler (i.e. that the wife can also use!) that I can operate directly through the PS3 (without the need for a laptop or smartphone etc).

It doesn't appear there is a Spotify app/add on available, however I know there's one or two other similar services available which I could possibly run through the PS3... what are the best alternatives?

Cheers.

Sony have their own service called music unlimited. Similar concept to spotify. Pretty sure you can run that through the ps3

Cheers, I did mean to mention that I was hoping to find an alternative to Music Unlimited, mainly because there's no free option available and with already paying for Spotify, I can't really justify paying for multiple services.

I guess an alternative is giving Music Unlimited another go, and moving back to the free Spotify with ads.

Sell your receiver and replace it with a Denon or Marantz? Both have Spotify built in... of course, it may not make financial sense...
