ok im trying my best to keep this post within forum rules and not requesting/giving out info on how to do anything u shouldn't. my problem is that im trying this program called HVCPlus and there is a big delay where you hear the audio and video comes in a few seconds later. i need to fix this sync problem but can't figure out how to do this. ive been experimenting with the values on the tweak options: audio hi tolerance and audio lo tolerance but with no luck. i dont actually understand what this does. thanks in advance

nvm i went straight past the delay option on the output tab which is set to 64 frames by default so i just disabled this.

Wow. I have not heard of this since I was in london, It decrypts uhf pay_tv there from memory but I tried it here with no luck whatsoever. it was slow, bad quality and sucked cpu cycles like mad.

I remember that it places in a delay with the video decoding but the audio is just an fm broadcast of sorts. you had to delay the audio to match the decrypting delay of the video prcess. good luck, I still have the old pc with that askey BT848 tv tuner in it, maybe i'll have another play, even though we are digital subscribers and it's really no point.

The point is the fun of it :D

Yeah off memory, you basically have two options with that program. Either have the audio come in with the line-input or sample it through the wave device & mute line-in.

I think.

Its a very good program though. I just wish that you could decode videocrypt with all the other tv viewer programs out there like KTV.

i cant figure out why sky movies and sky sports keeps flickering and going jittery all over the place but the other channels including sky one run smoothly. it seems sky one is encrypted differently than the others which may explain why on my normal tv in can tune in to the sound of it but not picture where as the other channels i cant tune into anything from them. also do you know of any other software that will do a better job (or any software that even attempts to decrypt sky for that matter) thanks.

FM sound carrier on ALL four Sky UHF channels can be tuned to (from Sugarloaf in Christchurch in my case). I've been listening to Sky for 15 years using this method (I prefer digital decoders). Sky 1 video carrier has been unencrypted most of the weekend.
