Just notice that my ATV2 had some "update" with new channels, and it broke PlexConnect.

Just then 9to5Mac reported a fix.

I have two Apple TVs, the first one has had the update, but my second was left in plexconnect overnight - so it still works, unless I exit out to the main apple tv interface....but I've told plexconnect its got a bogus DNS server, so hopefully it will survive a little bit.

At least until the fix is more stable. Although I'll apply the fix tonight and see what's up

Wondered when Apple would break it.

Just as well there are smart people to fix it.

Still wish Apple would just open an App Store for the Apple TV.

And this is why I still think the Raspberry Pi is the best option :/

Too slow.  Does look really pretty with RasPlex thought.

None of these clients can deal with 1080i which is a pet peeve of mine.

How's the Netflix and Hulu support on the Rasp Pi? That's my main use of ATV.

Applied the fix last night. Found things don't load as fast now though. Anyone else find that?

I was taking Michael to mean "best option for Plex" rather than starting the whole best client option.

I heard that was a problem, I believe they've sorted that out this mornings (have about 160 updates throughout the night to that thread), and the update has been migrated back to the main github repo rather than a fork.

Any particular reason you have not just JB'd it and installed regular Plex or XBMC  (It is a ATV2?)

On the later version of the JB IOS (5.2 I think) , Plex doesn't install.  Unless their are some hoops to jump through.  I have firecore on mine and plex doesn't show up - and even a manual install doesn't work.

Never tried it, I have quite a bit of local content in 1080p of which works perfect on the RasPi so suits my needs well.

There is however a tutorial [Here] for those willing to give it a shot.
