I am currently renovation and about to run the speaker cable runs prior to gibbing. Depending on the spend of the renovation, I will probably be getting a Denon AV receiver (2307 or 2807), and a set of sat/subs for the audio (either Kefs, Polks or B&W) - this is another discussion point obviously.  My question is does the speaker wire need to matched to the exact system as I'm putting the cable in prior to the purchase of the audio gear. I was looking along the lines of load of cable runs to all locations I could possible put the speakers and leaving them either in the wall or termination nicely with banana plugs.  2 Conductor 14 AWG Audio Cable 8.5mm x (7/15/0.16BC) x 2C + Cotton Yarn  seems to be a resonable priced cable roll and should this be ok?

Whatever speaker wire you choose, make sure that it is twisted pair.
