Hi

I have looking into AV faceplates ...  the customisable keystone ones seem ideal as I can set up exactly how I want.

But I have found nothing yet that supports all of  HDMI, aerial connection, CAT6 and USB and composite plugs.  Some have most of these but are missing one or two.

I was trying to do this all with a single faceplate but that does not seem possible?

On a related topic - I have bought a length of CAT6 cable to run .. it has connectors at each end... but, all the faceplate jacks that I can see seem to require wiring into the back of the plug,  I was expecting to be able to just clip in on the back. I really don't want to have to cut these cables and wire them into the plugs.

Check out the following guys from Christchurch, great service, great product and really great prices.

http://www.darkstar.co.nz/wall-plates.html

They should have all you need to be able to populate a single plate, including the Cat5/6 modular joiner so you can plug your Cat cable in on one side of the wall plate.

If the faceplate is not seen, perhaps one of these first 3 listed:

http://www.rapalloav.co.nz/catalogsearch/result/?q=feed+through+wall+plate

Then you don't have to worry about wiring and signal quality loss (if any). Not sure if this is the best price, but a starting point.

The PDL Modena range has modules for all that you asked for. PDL 600 series has them all, except for a USB connector.

The biggest problem with the Modena range is you are limited to x3 modules per faceplate, with the 600 series you can get x6 individual modules per faceplate and you can get USB modules for the PDL, just not made by Schneider.

I didn't know that. Who supplies them?

Check out the following link, it's one I found, but I use the USB modules from Darkstar and then use PDL mech adapters from WiredNZ (you can get the whole unit from WiredNZ also)....

Thanks for that link.

I actually visited them and ended up buying quite a few things (roll cat6, tools etc..).

Like you said, good service and prices.

Cheers.
