So firstly I am happy with used/gumtree/trade me etc and have patience for finding a bargain as have just kitted out a whole house and 2 cars so really tight on budget here...tops $400. At minimum want a good 2.1 system with optical in as my tv/ps3 only has optical/hdmi out.

Suggestions at this price point between active PC speakers (eg Logitech z5500 I used to have!), a budget receiver/speakers, home theater (overkill with 5.1 and blu-ray player!)

Won't be listening to high quality music, just games and TV!
