Hi,

I purchased a BGT3600 of TradeMe and I am having problems getting it going. I suspect the card may be faulty but I would be interested to know if anyone has a BGT36xx product here.

The Setup
Windows 8.1
Mediaportal
Hauppauge HVR-4000
Hauppauge HVR-3000

My setup already works perfectly I just wanted to upgrade to a PCIe card that consolidated some of the ability of the older cards so they could be removed.

After installing the card in my Media PC I installed the latest drivers at the time from the Blackgold website (v9.1.0.1). After the cards where detected I went into Mediaportal setup, something I am now very familiar with. When I went to scan for channels I found that the DVB-S tuners had signal on the transponders but it couldn't find any channels on any of them.

At this point in time I was using a splitter to pass the signal to all tuners so I assumed this was causing the problem. However after removing the splitter and having only one of the the BGT3600 DVB-S ports connected to the dish I was still getting the same tuning problem, signal but no channels.

This caused me to think it was a problem with Mediaportal so I tried NextPVR however it didn't find any channels either.

When this problem was still present I then assumed it was a driver problem and since then I have tried every combination I can think of. I have tried driver versions (9.1.0.5, 9.1.0.1, 8.1.1.2) on Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and even the Linux drivers on Ubuntu 13.04.

If anyone has a BGT36xx with DVB-S working can you tell me your OS, TV Application and Driver version. After all I have tried I suspect the card is faulty however I cannot get any replies from Blackgold and the TradeMe seller has not been very helpful either.
