Recently I upgraded my DVD player to a model that support component video output. I was surprised  by the price of some cables such as THX Certified monster cables. Is there really a picture quality difference between expensive cables and cheaper ones? or is it all marketing hype? DVD player I upgraded to is a Marantz dv4500 and a 29" Sony CRT TV.

Do yourself a favour and to go the big red shed and buy a $10.95 CellNet component cable. You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between that and a $150 monster cable.
