Hey guys.

Something I've noticed, in the car ZM from the Waikato booms in, here in West Auckland.

That was never the case before, I know there was only a handful of stations on Te Aroha, and all those could be recieved, but not the radio stations from Ruru.

Suddenly, a few months ago, I was able to recieve ZM from Hamilton, and upon further research, found to be coming from Te Aroha.Something I swear wasn't recieveable here before.

Anybody know when this changed over?

Thanks

ZM used to transmit from Mt Te Aroha but was shifted to Ruru Hill so Tauranga/Bop could have their own frequency and advertising market.

Looking at RSM it confirms its still coming from Ruru Hill, I'd hazard a guess perhaps since Analogue Switch off that they have been allowed to crank up the transmission power? Ruru Hill is a JDA site and used to transmit TV 3 / 4 Analogue, no TV comes from it now.
