I have the 4.55 software version on my PS3, can someone tell me if with this version I am able to play 3D movies and games on the PS3 assuming I have a 3D TV.. Thanks for prompt replies

I don't think I did anything special. Just popped in a 3D title (in this case The Hobbit) began play and the TV (Panasonic 3D plasma) recognised the 3D signal and prompted me to put on glasses.

Of course you do need to have a receiver that has HDMI 1.4 or you plug the PS3 directly into the TV.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

You need to set up the PS3 display as 3D. This should happen if it's all plugged in and you run the "Automatic" display settings thing. It will then ask you what the size of your screen is and should just work.
