I'd like to watch Netflix/Hulu through the Hola app on my TV. I understand that I could do this with a HDMI cable to a laptop. Unfortunately, my laptop doesn't have HDMI ports. I've seen some adapters on Trademe, but while I think they could get video across, I don't think my laptop has the audio ports it needs. Also worth noting is that I have a Blu ray home theater system that I'd like to get sound playing through.

Another issue: I have Bluetooth headphones that I'd like the TV to play through, but the TV isn't Bluetooth capable. What means if any could I use to get the TV's audio playing through them? (It seems like it would be easy if the media being played was coming from the laptop, which is Bluetooth capable. That would also resolve the issue of not being able to transmit sound from the laptop to the TV, but I wouldn't want headphones to be the only means of playing audio).

Might buying a new laptop be the best option? I wouldn't mind replacing mine (its battery is dead and power cord dodgy, though otherwise I have no real issues with it). I also wouldn't mind buying a tablet if it could achieve all of the above.
