I have found this page with tables comparing refresh rates, is it correct as I've seen lots of numbers thrown about including that the Sony MotionflowXR 200hz is 50hz but also that it is 100hz.

All the motion flow type technologies insert extra made up frames to achieve higher frame rates (interpolation).

There are panels capable of real 100+ hz but they are expensive.

If picking a new tv for gaming or sport you are better off looking at reviews that measure input lag and frame time.

Not all motion enhancing technologies insert frames, some blink backlights...
Either way, it's not a bad thing, it's down to personal preference.

Make your choice based on the panels true refresh rate and tunability, not the marketing based refresh rate...
Ignore CMR200 / TruMotion200 / 100HzBLB type stats, they're Samsung / LG's / Panasonic's versions of the 'truth'. Ask for the native refresh rate if it's not listed and then check out how adjustable they actually are.
