Ok, so something strange is going on. About 10 days ago the V8 supercars channel disappered off my channel lists. Didn't think much of it, cause no racing until next week so figured TVNZ just stopped broadcasting it in the meantime. But 3 days ago TV1 disappeared also. If I try to change to that channel, Media centre simply skips to the next channel. When I scan for services,   TV1 and V8S don't exist, yet in my channel order listings it gives me TV1 (which is ticked) and a frequency. In another menu( can't remember which one), it tells me that those channels are not configured.
I have tried a system restore to 3 weeks ago, and it has made no difference. Have also redone the registry hack and that has made no difference.

And to boot, by internet at home has stopped (bloody Telecom!)

Can anyone help with some suggestions for me? Please?

Can confirm they are still there, just as always, although the V8 channel has now been relabled "TVNZ Sports Extra" and as such it has V8's, netball, Soccer and all other sports material that TVNZ has rights to.

Cannot comment as to why you MCE has lost them

Do you have Sky? Maybe it's to do with the polarity being overridden by one of the Sky decoders, had this the other day

Can you get get TV3 and C4 OK?  If yes, then it's something else Undecided

Don't have Sky, only freeview (XP MCE05 & Nova S Plus). All other channels are ok.

i lost mine too in MCE.  a rescan brought them back - i noticed the v8 name change I guess this might be a reason.  perhaps they changed the channel ids or something too... kind of hard for me to tell now :p

Rollux, I've had problems with the channels disappearing also.

I think it may be related to this issue that some of the ozies have been having where VMC/MCE does a rescan of the channels when it thinks there has been a change.

The good news is that MS have released a hotfix that allows you to turn this behaviour off.

You can find more info in this thread http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/vista-media-center-software/21513-vista-mce-losing-channel-7-sbs-fix-now-available.html

Hope it helps

Thanks Rhys. Rescanning and fiddling about did nothing to fix my problem, but uninstalling and reinstalling the card fixed it. I will download the update to stop it happening again (hopefully).
Regards
Dan
