So my question is. Has anyone done this? Does it work? How do you do it? Sorry but I do not realy understand the "FireDTV + CI + CAM" statement.

If you're running GB-PVR and have a DVB-C card (or external box in this case) and CAM module to insert your Saturn card into you can watch Saturn TV without needing to use a STB. You can't get anything for free (you still need your card) for this to work.

The thread was started by sub who wrote GB-PVR and does definately work, he's even demonstrated it to the guys at TCL. If you send him a PM on here or on the GB-PVR forums I'm sure he'll be able to tell you more.

I had an extensive exchange with sub on this issue since it was pretty intriguing to me. In the end I decided not to proceed. This is because without some major machinations or getting two SIM cards from TCL you would have to watch TV on your computer using gbpvr software. What I wanted was the ability to record TCL cable without the box (so no A to D conversion) but still be able to watch TV on my TV. This would have involved getting a splitter so that the one card could service two CAMs and it was legally dubious.

Since TCL don't appear to sell you a SIM card by itself, to get two them would require getting two cable boxes at $30/month each - a bit too much for what I wanted.
