We decided that we really only watch BBC World on Sky (Basic Package) and would like to replace it with something else.
I am thinking of an Igloo Box, but want to know if there is an HTPC box that I could buy that would get BBC World.

PS I also have a Roku 3 for Netflix, so if the HTPC box could get Netflix that would be a bonus.

What about an Igloo box going into a HTPC?  That way you get all the Freeview channels (in HD if you use DVB-T) plus all the Igloo channels (buy only in SD), with the advantage of recording, better guide, FAR better navigation speed and usability.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I have a TiVo.

I was hoping for a recommendation on some sort of HTPC.

my mum has a pretty standard HTPC and she is with slingshot so uses global mode so she can access the content that is usualy geo-restricted. she just streams from the BBC iplayer website or sometimes the iplayer app on xbmc.

I believe with a separate dish, preferably 85/90cm, you can get BBC World directly from the Intelsat 19 satellite for free, along with a few dozen other interesting looking FTA channels.

Sorry, the C band on this satellite requires a 2.4m dish so somewhat too big for most roofs.
