Hi All

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on a suitable front end for XBMC...  I'm currently using Atom based PC's running openelec - however would like to move to something Android based so as I can also have Netflix running on the same device.

For Live TV I am using Argus TV; which while I have no issues with this with the Atom based PC's, I was unable to get a Raspberry Pi to work with this configuration.

Keen for any recommendations you may have, or better yet, know good hardware :)

Thanks
David

I use xbmc on several clients with Argus as a front end.
Works fine for me on a Pi running Raspbmc.
There is however a issue with smb permissions which is easy to fix.

If this is your problem then the symptom is that you can see all your Argus recordings but can't play them.
Shout if that was the issue.

Pasted from my notes........
Will not play video recordings from Argus despite seeing the recordings
Actually a Samba fault on PI - the password is not sent despite being entered
in the Argus configuration page.
Solution
Add details to passwords.xml in
cd ~/.xbmc/userdata/
more passwords.xml

smb://CHOBE/
smb://USERNAME:PASSWORD@CHOBE/

You'll likely need to create the password.XML file.
My host is named CHOBE, so obviously change that
You need to put in your user name and password

cd ~/.xbmc/userdata/
more passwords.xml
{passwords}
{path}
{from pathversion="1"}smb://CHOBE/{/from}
{to pathversion="1"}smb://USERNAME:PASSWORD@CHOBE/{/to}
{/path}
{/passwords}

I've had to change all the < to { and likewise for the other direction bracket
