If you were happy to buy online you could try http://www.rapalloav.co.nz/
I
have used them in the past for audio items and have found them very easy to deal with

thanks guys.most of the stuff on TM and rapallo is only 2.5mm. i need at least 12AWG or 4mm as i have to  run from a media cupboard to the lounge.
think ive found a 12AWG that will do .
its so hard to get decent data on the TM stuff...some of the descriptions are flakey and you cant actually tell what size it is and if its "solid" copper or filled with a packer to make it look bigger gauge

I seem to recall J.A Russell selling the JBL ones which are decent.

Or as Davoid pointed out above, these guys

so i bought some "12 gauge" cable from trademe...surprise fecken surprise its not 12 gauge...lucky if its even 16 gauge...trying to get a refund out of the supplier at the moment. seller says its what the manufacturer told him it was...it freakin aint even close.

Looks jaycar has the best value 12 gauge cable (actually 4mm2) so i'll buy that instead of risking any more internet sales.
