Just wondering if it is legitimate to update firmware on Benq projectors and if so, whether it is a good option to do so by yourself. I did some googling that suggested the later firmware than what I have (I have 1.05) adds a lot of extra support for 3D resolutions/frame-rates which will make my life easier but the various links to both the firmware and instructions were all 'unofficial'.

I have no issue paying to get it done at a 'service centre' if this an option (better than bricking my projector) but I can't find any suggestion on Benq websites that such a service/option exists - it would seem insane to me if there is no valid way to update firmware.....
