Hello,

I have purchased a Raspberry Pi with XBMC on OpenElec pre-installed.

I would really like to add a web browser and have seen one called Epiphany on the Raspberry Pi website which looks very good. How do it install this? I tried to get Chromium installed, downloaded the zip file and added it but nothing happens when I click on the icon so I am looking for another option.

Thanks.

It's actually been removed in the latest update (Oct 2014) because it causes too many problems and doesn't work very well.

Chromium wont work in openELEC on the raspberry Pi

The problem with openELEC on the raspberry pi is that it doesn't include a fully fledged operating system (like raspbmc). It just has the bare mimimum to get xbmc to run - which is why it is such a small download when compared with raspbmc

Thanks Farcus. That answers the question very well. Looks like next option is to try Raspbian as that includes the Epiphany browser. I will do some more reading.
