I'm looking for a simple setup to play DVDs/Blu Ray and was wondering if there is a portable DVD/Blu Ray system that would just plug into a computer monitor and if anyone has any recommendations please?  I don't have a TV and am looking for something so I don't have to turn the computer on to watch a movie.

Thanks for any advice.

Just wondering why you wouldn't want to turn the computer on to watch a movie?  Seems like the simplest solution overall, blu-ray players usually have HDMI output, monitors generally don't, so you'd need some kind of adapter, and a way to output sound as well.

I have a redundant computer that I currently use but I'd like something I can pick up and take in front of the fire fairly easily.  Was thinking about a projector but wondered if a portable DVD player existed with a monitor output, so that it would be easy to move around.  Don't want a permanent set up in the lounge.  Thanks.
