I'm moving into a new place this weekend and have organised an installer to come out and hook up Sky Digital on Monday. I'm aware of about 8 different boxes from Motorola and Pace. So far the Pace is getting the best reviews from people i've asked.

What i need to know now is which model to go for and why?

DSR2000-NZL, DS230NNZ, DSR620-GM, TDS460NNZ or DSR620-GM

The DSR620 is one of the early boxs, uses the oldest processor, is slow and doesnot support component out of the TV SCART

The DSR2000 is a reasonably recent machine, uses the newer SOC STi551? processor as all the others except the DSR600/620 and the Zenith, supports component out of the TV scart and has a dedicated S-Video via MiniDin. Is as fast as all the other latter machines.

The DS230 is the lattest standard Sky STB, is the fastest of the lattest, only downside is that it has both TV and VCR SCART but no composite and Audio via RCA as all thers do.

The TDS460 is the MySky, is that what you ordered or just a standard STB.

I would go for the DS230 assuming the lack of RCA's is not an issue.

It would be nice to have all of these details somewhere. I'm willing to host the info at openmedia.co.nz if you like
