On the back of my MySky are two F-type inputs for the sat feed (Input 1 and 2).  Currently I have a splitter feeding both, but when I disconnect Input 2 I still have a signal.  Could I redirect that input to freeview?

Are you quite certain you still get reception on both tuners with one of the cables removed?

Yep.  Is unplugged now and have checked channels 1-9 and Rugby Channel - all ok.

Try recording something then change the channel, doubt both tuners will be working with only one connected. Get a sat grade three way splitter.

If you disconnect the 2nd tuner input you will not be able to both view live and record at the same time, as suggested get a 3 or 4way 2GHz rated splitter and all should be just fine.
