HI there, I am totally new to this.
Just got my sky installed and looking to set up the Multiroom
but sky will charge $99 install and $25 monthly costs.
Is that the only way to do this???
I do want to play difference channel.
Really thanks for helping out.

no way around the monthly charge. you could do the wiring yourself, but I doubt they would waive the fee. 99 bucks is pretty reasonable to have a professional drive t your home, perform work to a high standard and drive back to base again.

To watch 2 different Sky channels at once getting multiroom is your only option as it gives you a 2nd decoder for $25 per month.

High standard... Ahahah..

No, sky will not do internal cable runs, put face plates on with a flylead, or even leave a component cable without asking. Nothign high about their standards.

And yeah, the $99 sucks, considering that I have all the cabling in place to get a second box off the flatmates account if I wanted, but he has no idea if he wants to keep sky at the moment so I am not going to pay $99 to have someone plug in a F connector and scart and then bleat about no phone connection so they dont get paid the extra for the installation.
