Error 404 on the dropbox.

Does anyone know if this is going to be permanent, and if so is there an alternative?

Oops. I turned off the PC when I went on holiday. My bad.

Back tomorrow, guide should be back within 24 hours.

No problem. I has just started a panicked search for dvb-s cards (i've got only analogue and dvb-t).

If your tuner is connected to a windows machine, use EPG Collector, it does dvbt no problem. Means the only person you have to rely on is you.

EPG Collector supports collecting Sky EPG too... as long as you have a Windows PC with an appropriate tuner.

EPG collector only works with satellite? I'm DVB-T. I dropped sky, but when I load the xml from http://epg.org.nz/freeview.xml.gz using big screen epg into windows media centre I get every program as Al Jazeera...

I use epgcollector with DVB-T, dropped the sat cards out ages ago. (today had to switch from collecting 538khz to 570khz to get guide data working again though)

I don't get on here much, but honestly you need not worry if the guide stops updating for a while - although I understand it's a bit annoying. Sometimes the cable gets unplugged from the wall, usually by my puppy :) Once I went away for a week and turned the PC off - duh... But I use the guide myself and of course notice when it's about to go out of date.

Some day I might have to stop doing this for whatever reason, but I have no such plans right now.
