Hey guys,

I did a forum search and found one user had purchased this set last year but couldn't find anything relevant to my query.

I was wondering if anyone has this TV (or even a similar display) and could share with me their colour calibration settings. I've used AVS HD 709 and THX's Tune Up app but feel I haven't hit the sweet spot.

The trouble I'm having is that this particular model doesn't have a contrast setting, instead it has 'colour' and 'picture' along with a few other features called "Adv. Contrast Control" that you can turn on or off.

Thanks!

Strange how the online manual shows a contrast setting.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

That would be the 'picture' setting. And it doesn't really operate as a traditional contrast setting as when I use it when instructed to during calibration guides, it doesn't deliver the desired results.

Odd. I can assure you I don't have a setting labeled 'contrast'.

Labels can leave a lot to be desired to actual use. Sony has a tendency to call contrast "picture".

Frankly test disks allow simple adjustments only, brightness(where black point of video starts) and sharpness, colour and Tint. Contrast is difficult with panel displays, especially LCD, LED and variants.

Personally I'd leave picture(contrast) alone as without a measurement tool you will struggle to get optimum setting. Secondly your white balance will likely need correction, which again to do correctly requires a measurement tool.
