Ok, time for the leap.

Shifting from Sky via a 500 card to ??? for Freeview  (looking at a new dish installation at the new house from Freeview Installs.) and ditching Sky completely.

So. Removal of 500 card. Inserting ??? card(s) and setting up EPG to work.

Anyone in Auckland want the job for $$ ? Currently we're using Vista MCE but would be happy to run another PVR software, as long as we don't lose the old recordings if possible, and must have a working EPG. Other goals are dual watching/recording channels.

Any takers / recommendations please ?

I can give you a Hand if you go with MediaPortal TV Server :-) Do you mean Hauppage PVR-500? If so, don't ditch it, you'll still want prime won't you? Just add DVB-S card(s) Skystar2 or NOVA-S Plus

Thanks mate, I may take you up on that offer. yes, it's the 500 card, but I'm not sure if the system has room for 2 x Nova S cards and the 500. Just got given another project at work this arvo Yell so everything on hold for a week. Grrr.
