Hi just bought an RCA 42 inch plasma from Warehouse. There are 2 AV channels on the back. I plugged SKY Digital and a DVD Recorder in and the pictures show but the audio plays on both channels e.g. = Sky has its audio and the audio from the DVD. I cant seem to get them seperated at all without completely unplugging one device which is totally inpractical.

Thanks

Interesting...But you won't be playing your DVD and watching sky at the same time will you ?
Yes it would be a bugger if you were watching a DVD and had a sky channel coming through.
Is the audio at the same level for both DVD and Sky?
Double check that everthing is plugged into the right place.

Crosstalk maybe ??? (have to ask others more in the know)

I have the answer and you are not going to like it!

The RCA TV's whilst having two sets of AV inputs they actually only have one AV in circuit.   stupid stupid stupid

I bought mine though an Auction site a year or so ago and was a little pissed when I found out about this 'feature'.  Otherwise It would have gone straight back.

The only way around it is to get an AV selector switch and only have one input to the TV.

I would take it back as it is just a pain!

Cheers

If they have just paralled up the RCA sockets for the 2 inputs, then they could actually be causing some really bad distortion to the audio signals when both are connected.

I would take it back for another one, because I cant see this being an intentional feature. If another one does it, then get your money back and go to another shop.
