I was reading a post before about someone who had problems with their remote not working,   I just brought a FTV Hills HSM075 its worked fine all day until 20 mins ago the remote stoped working.    Ive just figured out that its the energy saving light blubs that are interferring with the remote (light on only works 500mm from STB , light off works 5m back from STB)

Also is the STB able to get other satellite channels on D1?

Cheers

Hi cannot comment on the remote, but fluro lamps such as the energy efficient ones can put out a bit or IR that can effect some less than ideal remote systems.

As for picking up other channels with your Hills box, unlike the Zinwell/DSE certified box the Hills does let you tune to other FTA muxs. There is a menu setting that lets you look at other FTA channelsl, this needs to be engaged first.

Currently you can get a trans Assuie feed that carries mainly Southern Cross feeds (Channel 7) this can be found at 12635Mhz with Symbol rate 5100.

And there is a mux at 12643MHz with a symbol rate of 6870, you will need to manually enter apids and Vipids 1025/1024 and 1040/1041 are ones that will get you imparja and NITV.

Currently Imparja is showing Channel 10 with motocycle racing from Philip Island, cool.

None of the above a stable or guaranteed to be available at all times, ie the SCT feed on 12635 is currently black as its a backhaul feed.

Cyril - are those all on D1? Or are they on C1? Are they tuneable without an Aurora card?

Those other two, one I dont get anything the other 12643MHz with a symbol rate of 6870 all i get is sound, how do you enter the apids and vipids?

SCTV is southern Cross, that link normally carries Ch7 feeds to remote Tx's, hence it will sometimes disappear, and sometimes switch to other programming mid sentce.

Have no idea how you manually enter pids on the Hills, is there somewhere where you can edit a channels parameters?

thanks for the tip.

I had a look last night, but searched on H-Pol and found nothing.

It doesn't seem that easy to specify the real high level info in either GB-PVR or Win TV unfortunately.
