Hi,

I was watching "the librarians" on The Zone last night and the sound was very annoying.

If I turned up the volume so that I could here the speaking then the action scenes were extremely loud.  If I turned the volume down to an acceptable level then the speech was not audible at all.

Most programs have audio that goes loud and soft like this but not to this extreme...

We have an old Panasonic 32inch CRT and Pace sky decoder - looking to upgrade shortly and I'm wondering is this something that can be corrected or controlled with newer technology or hardware??

Is this the TV converting dolby digital to stereo sound badly or is it just the way the program audio is??

Standard Sky decoders don't receive or output dolby digital or anything by that name.
