Does anyone know of a wired solution?  I'm planning on having my TV on the wall, but without the equipment below it (that stuff would be on the other side of the room).  Rather than having to point the remotes toward the wall (not very intuitive), I was hoping to mount a receiver in the wall under the TV, and the transmitter across the room.  I could go wireless, but I'd prefer not to.  Maybe I could build a custom solution, anyone have experience in this?

Jaycar also have a unit for this.

You have to make it up though (some soldering). The up-side is that it works for MySky, many of the detectors on these units can't handle the shorter RC6/RCMM codes of the newer digital boxes.

Perfect!  I found a few circuits on the net but for $30 it's probably worth just grabbing this.
