Hi, Checkout Bartenders Blog, it has a couple of photos that might identify it, otherwise unless its a very old CalAmp one that has a metal (light grey painted) case all Sky LNBs recieve both H&V, all FreeView transmissions are on Hpol as are Skys, the LNB LO will be 11300MHz unless its a dual throat with the oval radome in which case its 10750MHz.

Thanks Cyril, great info.

I think I can get it sorted at home tonight - my dish does seem to be pointing at a powerpole so could be an issue.
I will get a satellite finder, tweak my settings and I hope presto!

dont forget that the incidence angle of the signal is not the same as the LNB arm its somewhat higher. In Auckland the elevation is around 44deg, Wellington is around 40deg, ChCh is 38deg, and Dunedin around 36deg.

So even though you think it may be pointing at a pole it may well be looking over it.

Success! - with the help of correct settings, a $20 signal meter from DSE and 10 mins up the ladder all is good. Impressed with quality & reception, the EPG is not so good on my COSHIP 2500 however. Thanks for help.Smile
